Startup and Commissioning
Startup and Commissioning by an authorized generator technician.
Pre-Commissioning & Safety Check
Fluid Inspection: Verify correct levels and quality of engine oil, coolant, and fuel.
Electrical Verification: Test battery voltage, confirm proper grounding connections, and verify that jacket water heaters and battery chargers are energized.
Initial Startup & No-Load Testing: Once the pre-checks are cleared, the engine is started to monitor baseline performance without an electrical load. No-Load Run: Start the engine and immediately monitor oil pressure, fuel pressure, and coolant temperature.
Calibration: Check for unusual vibrations, fluid leaks, and adjust the engine speed governor and Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR).
Transfer Test: Perform a simulated power outage to ensure proper operation.
