The SPD series pairs Perkins diesel engines with Stamford generator ends for standby duty from 30 kW to 200 kW — the size band that covers most commercial buildings, small municipal facilities and light industrial sites. Perkins is one of the most widely serviced industrial diesel platforms in the world, which matters on a machine expected to sit idle and then start when it is needed.
Features and benefits
- Perkins diesel engines. A long-established industrial platform with broad parts availability and service coverage.
- On-site fuel. Diesel means the set is independent of utility gas, which is why it is specified where the power has to work regardless of what else fails.
- Stamford generator ends. Industry-standard alternators, widely supported for parts and service.
- Aluminum powder-coated enclosures. Corrosion resistance that matters on an outdoor set expected to sit for years and start on demand.
- UL 2200 certified, T4F / Stage 5 emissions compliant. The listings and emissions standards commercial and municipal specifications call for.
- Built for demanding specs. Gillette's diesel line is aimed at waste water, data centers, oil and gas, and municipal bid-spec work.
Standby rated. This set is built to carry the load when utility power fails, not to run continuously. If the site needs a generator as its regular power source — off-grid, or running daily — ask us about the prime-rated PR and T4D ranges instead.
About Gillette
Gillette has been building industrial generator systems in Elkhart, Indiana for more than 60 years, from 25 kW to 2 MW. Every set is UL 2200 certified and 100% load tested before it ships, and the company holds a 99% on-time delivery record — which matters when a set is tied to a construction schedule or a code-required inspection date.
