Gillette Generators SP-1500-3-2 Natural Gas Standby Generator - Level 2 Sounds Enclosure
The SP series is Gillette's commercial gaseous standby line — 25 kW to 1 MW on natural gas or LPG, in single-phase and three-phase. Gas is the usual choice where a utility gas main is already at the building, because there is no fuel to store, no tank to permit and no fuel to go stale between outages. These are the sets specified for health care institutions, hotels, medical centers and office buildings, where the generator has to start on demand and carry real load.
Features and benefits
- No stored fuel. Runs off the building's gas supply, so there is no tank to site, permit or maintain, and no fuel degradation between exercise runs.
- Natural gas or LPG. Configurable for either, which keeps the option open where gas service is planned but not yet in.
- Single or three phase. Matched to the building's service rather than forcing a conversion.
- Engines matched to frame size. Gillette selects across John Deere, Volvo, PSI and Mitsubishi depending on the rating rather than stretching one engine family across the whole range.
- UL 2200 certified. The listing most commercial and institutional specs call for.
- 15 models across the range. Close sizing to the actual load instead of buying a frame size up.
Standby rated. This set is built to carry the load when utility power fails, not to run continuously. If the site needs a generator as its regular power source — off-grid, or running daily — ask us about the prime-rated PR and T4D ranges instead.
About Gillette
Gillette has been building industrial generator systems in Elkhart, Indiana for more than 60 years, from 25 kW to 2 MW. Every set is UL 2200 certified and 100% load tested before it ships, and the company holds a 99% on-time delivery record — which matters when a set is tied to a construction schedule or a code-required inspection date.
